I had such a wonderful time telling stories and signing copies of my book at the Cheltenham Literature Festival!
We had so many great sessions weaving Caribbean Folktales together in the Story Shack. I invited children to come up with ideas which I put into the tale and together we bring it to life.
I also had the pleasure of listening to poet Linton Kwesi Johnson in the evening reciting from his book ‘Time Come’. Superb hosting from Paul Gilroy. They took us through the ages of musical Black history and when he spoke, Linton’s dub poetry displayed so much rhythm and gravitas in his voice!
