Wendy has also spoken with people who came to the UK as children with their parents from the islands and captured their reminiscences of storytelling whilst growing up in the Caribbean and the UK whilst their parents worked, helping to rebuild Britain and forge new communities. Their personal accounts have been placed at the start of each chapter, introducing themes of tricksters, Spirits and Shapeshifters, Music & Song, Love & Loss, Caution & Justice.  Renowned Storyteller, Grace Hallworth spoke with Wendy about her storytelling journey and writing Caribbean Folktales. Her reminiscences are also included in the book.
