Tales from The Odyssey
As part of the Southbank Centre’s London Literature Festival, Wendy will be telling wonderful stories from Homer’s epic tale ‘The Odyssey’. Featuring music, singing and illustration, Wendy will be accompanied by Storyteller Andy Copps and artist Helena Vaughan.
Come and hear tales of monsters, witches, gods and heroes with chances for everyone to participate and bring the tale to life with beautiful props, your ideas which are woven into the story and larger than life actions.
There will be storms to create, songs to sing and monsters to describe as Wendy and Andy tell of the Land of the Cyclops, the enchantress Circe, the deathly Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis and the gods on Mount Olympus wreaking havoc upon the hero Odysseus.
Dates: Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st October
Times: 12.30pm – 1.30pm, 2.30 – 3.30pm
This is a free event for the whole family!
